The full-glass railing system by Domizz is a traditional self-supporting railing system comprising a linear base mount of the railing glazing pane, made of a structural aluminium profile, the glazing pane, which serves as a structural support member that provides a uniform distribution of the wind loads, and a linear loading rail along the top of the glazing pane.
Self-supporting glass railing handrails
We carry A2 type (indoor) and A4 (outdoor) stainless steel handrails made of oval and square hollow sections. The stainless steel handrails are finished in the natural colour; we can optionally provide a powder coat finish in any RAL colour or a DEKORAL wood effect pattern. Stainless steel handrails exhibit superior rigidity and high impact resistance, the performance characteristics which favour safe setting / removal the handrail on / from glazing panes.
Domizz glazed railing system profiles
The profiles can be installed either directly on the balcony slab / deck top or front edge. The system features an easy and quick to use “dry glass pane chock system”: when a glazing pane is set in the base mount profile, dedicated chocks are installed to stabilize the pane in the upright position. This method greatly reduces the assembly time and keeps the installation clean and neat. The glazing panes require no extra openings for fasteners, which improves the glass strength, slashes the glass pricing, and reduces the fabrication and installation lead times. Solid glazing panes are also easier to replace without dismantling the entire railing structure.
Domizz Self-supporting railing glass
The glazing panes installed in the Domizz self-supporting glazed railings are made of laminated tempered glass. Unlike regular glass, laminated tempered glass is very strong and if broken, the pane is fractured into a mesh of fine and blunt-edged shards that are hard to be injured with, while the laminating film keep the shards in place. The Domizz base mount profile with a system of dedicated EPDM seals and pane chocks helps to install the following panes which come as standard accessories for our systems:
– 8.8.4 laminated glass (two tempered glass panes, each 8 mm thick and bonded together, and four layers of PVB film; overall pane thickness: 17.52 mm)
The railing panes does not have to be clear. The laminating film between the glass panes can be tinted, patterned, or finished with high-quality digital print. Other glass pane finish options include anti-reflective or low-emission coats.
The project designer should choose the glazing pane type, size and strength performance according to building laws, actual loads, and the support component performance of the self-supporting full-glass railing system.
